We start with a 30-minute video or phone call with one of our advisors. Proposal and Agreement

Within a few days of the consultation, we send you a written proposal outlining the scope of services, specific deliverables, timeline, communication cadence, and investment. Everything is transparent — no vague scopes, no surprise billing. You review it, ask any questions, and decide whether to proceed. If you do, we send an engagement letter and get started.

Onboarding

Onboarding is where we do the initial setup work so that ongoing delivery can run smoothly. We set up your secure client portal, gather read-only access to your bank feeds and accounting software (or set up new software if needed), collect the historical documents we need to understand your current position, and schedule your regular check-in calls. Most clients are fully onboarded within two weeks.

First Deliverable

Your first month of ongoing service begins. For bookkeeping clients, this is your first month-end financial package. For tax clients, this is your tax planning review or return preparation kickoff. For fractional CFO clients, this is your initial financial assessment and 90-day roadmap. Every engagement begins with a clear, tangible output.

Secure Client Portal
Every client has a dedicated secure portal for document sharing, financial report delivery, and secure messaging. You upload documents to your portal rather than emailing sensitive financial information. We return deliverables through the same portal, accessible from any device at any time.
Regular Video Check-In Calls
Depending on your service level, check-in calls are scheduled monthly or bi-weekly. These are working calls — not status updates. We walk through your financials, discuss performance versus budget, flag anything that needs your attention, and work through decisions together. You come away with a clear picture of where your business stands.
Accounting Software
We work in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Zoho Books depending on your preference and setup. If you are already on one of these platforms, we connect directly. If you are starting from scratch, we recommend the right platform and handle all setup. You have full access to your own books at all times — it is your data, always.
Email and Phone Access
Your dedicated advisor is reachable by email for non-urgent questions. For time-sensitive matters — approaching deadlines, unexpected financial issues — you have direct phone or call access. You will not be routed through a general support line. You work with one person who knows your situation.

All document sharing happens through your dedicated client portal — a secure, encrypted environment. You never need to email sensitive financial information. For accounting software access, we request read-only connection through your QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho account — you control access and can revoke it at any time. We do not store sensitive credentials.
Yes. Each client engagement is assigned a dedicated advisor who is your primary point of contact for all work. If your engagement spans multiple service areas — for example, both bookkeeping and fractional CFO advisory — you work with one coordinating advisor who ensures everything is aligned, rather than managing separate relationships with different teams.
We respond to email inquiries within one business day for most questions. For time-sensitive matters — an approaching deadline, an urgent financial question, or a surprise notice from the IRS — we prioritize faster response and you have direct phone access to your advisor. We communicate our availability and response standards clearly in the engagement letter.
If you are an ongoing bookkeeping client, the handoff to tax preparation is seamless. Your books are already clean, current, and maintained to our standards, so there is no need for cleanup or reconstruction. We coordinate the year-end close, make any necessary adjusting entries, and pass the books directly to our tax team. You do not need to manage the coordination between bookkeeping and tax — we handle it internally.
Engagements are designed to be flexible. If your business grows or your needs change, we can adjust the scope of your engagement — adding services, increasing reporting frequency, or bringing in additional advisory support. Scope changes are documented and agreed to in writing before any additional work begins, so there are no surprise costs.
